How to Buy Online Lottery Tickets

Online Lottery Tickets

You can buy online lottery tickets for states like Georgia, Illinois, New Hampshire, Vermont, and many more. You simply need to be a resident of the state to purchase tickets from that state’s website. To get started, sign up for your state’s lottery’s online subscription service and provide your personal information, such as an email address and physical address. You’ll also need to provide a form of payment such as credit or debit card to make your purchase.

Usually, lottery agents allow you to buy a batch of 20 to 30 tickets at a time. But if you’d rather not wait, you can also opt for subscriptions. Subscriptions can be paid for a specific number of draws over a period of weeks or months. Some sites will bill you up front for the entire amount, while others will deduct the cost of tickets as each draw approaches. Subscriptions are a convenient way to buy tickets and avoid missing a draw.

There are currently 44 states that have adopted laws that allow lottery sales online. In fact, Illinois was one of the first to offer tickets online. The Illinois lottery sold $425,000 of tickets in its first week. Online lottery sites do have their limitations, however. You can’t play instant win games in Georgia if you live in Colorado, and vice versa. In addition, you can’t purchase lottery subscriptions for games in another state.
